Tis’ The Season

December 4, 2008

With the month of December upon us I’ve started doing my Christmas decorating. I don’t have a lot of stuff I put up, but just enough to keep the holiday mood. Thought I’d share some of my Rams Christmas decorations because I know you all love my crazy Rams fanatics! And sorry about the lighting in a couple of these.

I actually have about 5 more of these ornaments. They send me a new one every year, but the other ones are packed away in my mom’s house and I don’t want to dig them up.

And here’s a little video of my singing, dancing Rams Santa.  The video isn’t high quality, but you can see his Rams jersey.
And, of course, the Christmas tree. It’s only about 2 feet tall. I’ve had this tree for about 15 years! I’m surprised it’s lasted that long.

What, Me Obssesed?

October 28, 2008

So, as many of you so clearly know, I am a big St. Louis Rams fan. Anyone who knows me personally knows my obsession with football and my team. Some of you here have already mentioned that you now think of me when you hear anything related to the Rams. Well, I thought I’d give you all a sneak peek into my fanatics. This is only skimming the surface. I really do have tons of Rams related stuff.

Here’s just some of the stuff and clothing I have at home.

My bobbleheads from years ago. The only one of those players still on the team is Orlando Pace.

Are you starting to get an idea of just how much of a fan I am yet? And these are only a few things. I didn’t feel like taking pictures of everything. Plus, I’ve already posted the pics of my furniture and of the things I have at work.

I’ll leave you with these last couple of things.

So, there you have it. A bit of how far my love for my team goes. Now, I’m sure you’ll all think of me from now on whenever the Rams are mentioned.

EDIT: Here’s a couple more things I found in my desk at work.

I Shall Return Shortly

October 25, 2008

I won’t be online until tomorrow night. So, I won’t be available to hear the congrats if my Rams win or the crap talking (jerks) if they lose. However I will come by either happy or sad and discuss the hopeful win. Until then folks.

Update: Damnit! We lost.

How ‘Bout Them Rams…

October 19, 2008

That’s right the underestimated Rams won another one. This one against the Dallas Cowboys. It was nice to see the Rams playing how I knew they always could. Jackson was running right through the Cowboys the whole game and ended up with two touchdowns in the first quarter alone. The Cowboys turned the ball over twice allowing the Rams to convert one turnover into points. They dominated the whole 1st half leading 24-7 going into halftime.

The second half didn’t start off too great for the Cowboys either. Penalties kept them from converting on a 3rd and one and a 4th and one and they ended up missing a 46 yard field goal. And what do the Rams do when they get the ball back after that? Give it to Jackson for a 56 yard TD run! A few minutes later the Cowboys turn the ball over once again and the Rams are able to put up 3 more points. The 4th quarter just added yet another turnover from Dallas. The Cowboys did manage to score another TD in the last couple of minutes of the game, but this game was over for them since halftime.

Final score 34-14.

This was a completely Rams dominated game. The Cowboys looked unorganized and sloppy. I just hope the Rams continue to hold on to this momentum through the rest of the season.

Winless No More…

The Rams won! THE RAMS WON!! THE RAMS WON!!!!

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is all. We will resume our regularly scheduled blog posting next week.

Weekend Happenings

September 29, 2008

So, I thought I’d post a quick blurb on the weekend and it’s events. This is just a short post as I had one heck of a busy long weekend and I’m exhausted today. I really just want to take a nap under my desk, but apparently they frown on that at my job.

Some of you have already brought it up, and yes I’m well aware that Scott Linehan was fired as the Rams head coach. I doubt anyone is surprised by that. They are 0-4, have been outscored 147-43, have a paper thin defense and Linehan’s decision to bench Bulger for old man Trent Green is baffling. I can only hope that Chip Rosenbloom is working on making a lot more needed changes to get this team back to form.

On another note, I fell once again this weekend. I think this is my 3rd fall this year. Unfortunately, I re-injured my already bad knee and it’s bruised and swollen. Therefore I’m in some pain and rather uncomfortable. So, my mind isn’t focused too much which is why I don’t have a better post today. I’ll hopefully have more in the next couple of days. For now, I just want to go home, ice my knee, and take a nap!

If You Ain’t First, You’re Last

September 22, 2008

So, I had quite a busy weekend. Before I proceed with my uneventful summary I suggest reading DJ D’s post on the Spidey tin he won from me. He even makes fun of me a little in it. So, go on and read it. You will not be disappointed.

On to the weekend. I decided on Saturday morning to walk to my mother’s house instead of drive. I figured it’s a good way to get some exercise in and save on gas money. It took me an hour and a half to get there. I think I’ll drive next time. Anyhoo, since I walked I took streets that I don’t normally drive through much. So, I noticed a few things I hadn’t paid much attention to before. One of those things that caught my eye was this.

Sorry the picture is dark, but that says T&A Taco. Suggestive much? Perhaps a little subliminal advertising at work? I can only imagine the confused men coming in there only to realize that it is in fact nothing more than an eating establishment. I was quite amused. So, I guess it was good that I walked or I would have not seen this for a while.

I also did a little shopping with my mom in the afternoon. I saw these at Wal-Mart.

Those are mozzarella stick and onion blossom flavored Pringles. Has anyone tried these? I didn’t buy any because I’m trying to cut back on my junk food intake. Plus, I wasn’t sure if I’d like them. I need some feedback from someone who’s tried them first. If someone tells me they’re okay, then I might give them a shot.

Sunday was spent all day at the sports bar watching football. My team lost, they’re 0-3, they suck…blah, blah, blah. But it was fun being there with the other football fans. Even had a friendly little argument with a 49ers fan. Now I’m tired and a little hungover. I may have to leave work early because I’m “sick”. I need a nap!

That sums my last couple of days up. How was everybody else’s weekend?
