January 2, 2009

Well, it’s another new year. It’s taken me a while to get up my obligatory New Year’s post, but I’ve been pretty lazy lately. I’ve had a lot of time off from work and I’ve spent most of it out with friends, relaxing or playing my Wii. Sure, I could have come on and did a quick post sooner, but I just figured it could wait.

I don’t have any resolutions per se, but I’m going to try to start looking for another job. I need to be making more money and I don’t see the possibility for a raise anytime soon at my current job. Of course there’s the whole trying to get healthier thing, but I started working on that a few months back.

I’ll try to post on my blog more, but I’m not making any promises. Hopefully the new year brings plenty of shenanigans that I can write about. So, hope everyone has a great 2009 and I’ll see you around on your blogs.

This Is What Happens…

December 22, 2008

When I take a week off from work and have more drinking time. I’m off until next Monday so, who knows the kind of debauchery that will ensue.

So, I have a new digital camera I got for my birthday. That pic was taken with it. So, now my blog posts will have better pictures than the pics of the past that were taken with my cell phone.

To test it out I tried to have a photoshoot with my dog, but she wasn’t having it. This was the best I could get because she kept moving or turning away.

Alrighty, just wanted to drop by with a quickie post while I’m online for now.  I had time today since I got the Xmas shopping done early. I’ll still come by and try to catch up with everyone else’s blogs through the week.

The Big 3-Oh No!

December 11, 2008

Yep, it’s my 30th birthday today! I made it through three full decades. I don’t mind turning 30, I just would have expected to accomplish a lot more than I have. But, I’ve done okay overall for myself, aside from all the falling down and subsequent injuries.  I have a full time steady job (for now), a roof over my head, transportation, and the ability to pay my bills. I’m not currently married or have kids but that’s by choice. And, really, with all the boozing and football watching I do, when would I have time for kids and/or a husband? I just  don’t really want kids quite yet, if at all.  I do wish I had a better job or better pay, but considering how high the unemployment rate is now, then I’m doing fine.

I had considered doing some big bash or going somewhere, but I did all that craziness for my 21st and most of my birthdays in my 20’s. I decided this year to spend it with my good friends who have been there through the years. I’m heading to a bar with my best friend tonight and having two dinners on Friday and Saturday nights respectively with my other friends.

I’m glad that all of my blog readers (the handful of you) can be here for this milestone of mine. Because I’m almost certain I won’t be blogging by the time my next age milestone comes around! Actually, if I could only quit being clumsy and falling all the time then I might have a chance of making it to 40! So, here’s looking towards my 30’s and whatever adventure they may bring.

Home Again

December 1, 2008

So, I’m back from Vegas. I actually got back Saturday afternoon, but I had a lot of rest to catch up on! The trip went well. Getting there was a pain because I had to get through some rush hour traffic at first. So, what would have been a 3.5/4 hour drive turned into 6. But I eventually made it. I stayed at Ceasar’s Palace and got my room comp upgraded from a standard to their Palace Tower Deluxe room.

My room had two queen beds though, but I forgot to take pictures of it so I took these off the casino’s website. Other than that, this is exactly what the room was like. However, I did get a picture of one of their many fountains.

I didn’t hit the jackpot or win any big bucks because I stuck to the penny slots. I’m not much of a gambler I’m more of a drinker so I did plenty of that. Here’s a final picture I remembered to take while I played the penny slots and drank.

My pictures are a little blurry because I spent a lot of time drinking. I didn’t even take many pics because I’ve been to Vegas so many times it just didn’t seem necessary. Anyways, I’m back in Cali and back to work. My obnoxious co-worker is already getting on my nerves! I wish I was back in Vegas! Anyways, hope the rest of you had a great Thanksgiving.

Thanks Vegas!

November 25, 2008

It’s that time of year again to give thanks for the things in our lives. I’ve decided to spend this Thanksgiving in Las Vegas so, I’m extra thankful that it’s close enough to me to go. So, I won’t be around the next few days as I’ll be boozing it up and stumbling around the strip. I will leave you with a list of some things that I’m thankful for.

  • I’m thankful that even though I’m cartoonishly clumsy, I haven’t yet broken a bone this year…even though I’ve injured my knee three times already.
  • I’m thankful for my mom who continues her hope for grandkids even though I’m probably not likely to have kids (at least not on purpose).
  • I’m thankful for the friends who remind me of the dumb stuff I do when I drink too much because I do a lot of dumb stuff.
  • I’m thankful for the friend who drags himself to the gym with me everyday because the gym sucks but together we manage to go, and bitch about it the whole way through.
  • I’m thankful that my St. Louis Rams managed to win a couple of games so far. Especially against the Cowboys, that win was extra sweet.
  • I’m thankful for the paper plates I “borrow” from work and take home because I hate doing dishes.
  • I’m thankful for my camera phone so I can take pics of strangers to later make fun of here.
  • I’m thankful for my microwave because I don’t really like to cook.
  • I’m thankful for my fellow bloggers who keep me entertained with their witty posts and who still read the random crap I write.
  • I’m thankful I didn’t catch the cold that’s been going around here so, that I can really enjoy my time in Vegas. Maybe I’ll do lunch with Wayne Newton.

That’s all for now. I’m sure there’s tons more I could list, but I can’t think of it all now. Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving.

It’s A Dead Man’s Party

October 31, 2008

That’s right folks. It’s the greatest day in October…Halloween!

I hope you all have a fantastic day. I have to get through the work day first. However, with all the potlucks and holiday nonsense then today shouldn’t be too bad. Then I can head off to my nightime shenanigans. I’m going to drink myself retarded tonight. Which shouldn’t be hard since all my previous years of drinking has already given me a head start. I am wearing a costume for the first time ever to work too. I am a referee, of course. Anyways, hope everyone makes it a great one no matter what you end up doing.

Liquor On The Brain

October 16, 2008

Yesterday I mentioned over on X-E that I had recently made an awesome purchase and I thought I’d share that here. This beauty is not only kick ass, but is perfect for Halloween. Yep, I bought myself some Crystal Head Vodka. Check it out.

Now, I had only recently heard of this and remembered thinking I may try to look for it. So, imagine my surprise when the rinky dink little liquor store on the corner had it! I almost broke into the robot from my excitement! The guy told me he only ordered three and I was getting the first one!

Now, the skull bottle is cool enough for me to have bought it, but I also knew Dan Akroyd was shilling the stuff so that made it extra special! I have yet to try it because I still have another bottle of vodka in the freezer to finish. But no worries, that other bottle of vodka will probably be finished by this weekend and then I’ll be able to try this stuff. For now I’m going to build it a pedestal and stare at it.
